Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2011

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Canadian Red Cross was Secretary General/Chief Executive Officer CONRAD SAUVE, who brought home $268,240.92 in 2010.

Following CONRAD SAUVE was Chief Finance/Operations Officer CLAUDE TREMBLAY, with annual earnings of $199,158.05. Director General International Operations SUSAN JOHNSON made $161,817.57, Director General Ontario Zone RONALD KELUSKY made $156,817.57, and National Director, Public Affairs & Government Relations PAMELA AUNG THIN round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $151,362.84 for the Canadian Red Cross 2011 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2010, 13 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 8 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 4 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Canadian Red Cross.
