Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2013

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Every year, the Ontario government publishes its annual Sunshine List of public sector servants with six-figure salaries. According to the document, Ornge's 129 staffers made the Sunshine List, earning total compensation of $15,666,091.85 in 2012.

Topping the list for the Ornge was Chief Operating Officer THOMAS LEPINE, who brought home $274,740.05 in 2012.

Following THOMAS LEPINE was Vice President Logistics JULIUS UECKERMANN, with annual earnings of $167,595.95. Chief of Staff BRUCE SAWADSKY made $164,999.36, Vice President Clinic Affairs JO–ANNE OAKE–VECCHIATO made $164,038.45, and Critical Care Paramedic SCOTT MCNAB round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $154,588.99 for the Ornge 2013 Sunshine List.
