Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2016

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Carla Ladd was Chief of Police Kimberley Greenwood, with annual earnings of $241,113.28. Deputy Chief of Police Bruce Carlson made $204,339.20, General Manager Infrastructure and Growth Management Richard Forward made $193,246.47, and General Manager Community and Corporate Services Patricia Elliott-Spencer round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $185,785.73 for the City of Barrie 2016 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2015, 185 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 171 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 14 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 3 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the City of Barrie.
