Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2020

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Municipal Affairs and Housing was Deputy Minister Kate Manson-Smith, who brought home $237,250.80 in 2019.

Following Kate Manson-Smith was Assistant Deputy Minister, Business Management Division Joanne Davies, with annual earnings of $228,541.92. Manager, Policy and Program Development Unit Scott Harcourt made $210,861.43, Assistant Deputy Minister, Housing Division Joshua Paul made $198,571.17, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Municipal Services Division Marcia Wallace round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $193,759.91 for the Municipal Affairs and Housing 2020 Sunshine List.

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2019, 65 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 83 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 22 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 3 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Municipal Affairs and Housing.
