Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2024

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Following Paul Andre was Vice-President, Health and Safety Services Michel Parent, with annual earnings of $191,435.09. Mine Rescue Officer Mike Krell made $180,649.42, Vice-President, Mine Rescue and Emergency Services Ted Hanley made $175,208.49, and Mine Rescue Officer Dan Rulli round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $170,158.16 for the Workplace Safety North 2024 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2023, 10 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 17 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 13 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the Workplace Safety North.
