Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2023

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

2023 Ontario Sunshine List: Energy Top Earners

Topping the list for the Energy was Assistant Deputy Minister, Energy Supply Policy Steen Hume, who brought home $223,242.29 in 2022.

Following Steen Hume was Director, Nuclear Adrian Nalasco, with annual earnings of $186,173.65. Director, Electricity Policy, Economics and System Planning Timothy Christie made $179,180.40, Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic, Network and Agency Policy Karen Moore made $177,086.12, and Director, Strategic Policy and Analytics Shruti Talwar round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $169,152.26 for the Energy 2023 Sunshine List.
