Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2009

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Finance was Deputy Minister COLIN ANDERSEN, who brought home $458,153.63 in 2008.

Following COLIN ANDERSEN was Deputy Minister PETER WALLACE, with annual earnings of $264,617.81. Assistant Deputy Minister, Broader Public Sector Supply Chain Secretariat DANIEL WRIGHT made $244,514.26, Assistant Deputy Minister, Office of the Budget & Taxation STEPHEN ORSINI made $193,470.84, and Assistant Deputy Minister, Provincial Local Finance Division SRIRAM SUBRAHMANYAN round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $182,439.12 for the Finance 2009 Sunshine List.
