Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2011

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Securities Commission was Chair W. DAVID WILSON, who brought home $626,121.15 in 2010.

Following W. DAVID WILSON was Vice Chair LAWRENCE RITCHIE, with annual earnings of $484,410.57. Vice Chair JAMES TURNER made $469,779.80, Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Administrative Officer MARGARET DOWDALL-LOGIE made $426,447.24, and Special Advisor, Capital Markets Enforcement, Royal Canadian Mounted Police MICHAEL WATSON round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $327,950.80 for the Ontario Securities Commission 2011 Sunshine List.
