Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure - Sunshine List 2019

The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the La Cité was President Lise Bourgeois, who brought home $289,666.00 in 2018.

Following Lise Bourgeois was Vice-President Lynn Casimiro, with annual earnings of $194,297.00. Vice-President Michel Brunet made $184,157.00, Vice-President Pascal Bessette made $184,157.00, and Vice-President Réjean Thibault round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $184,157.00 for the La Cité 2019 Sunshine List.

Breaking down the numbers

Among employees who received more than six-figure salaries in 2018, 57 received earnings between $100,000 and $110,000 followed by 93 who received between $110,001 and $150,000 , 6 received between $150,001 and $200,000 , 1 received between $200,001 and $250,000 at the La Cité.
